Merrily Orsini to help set legislative priorities for National Association for Home Care and Hospice

Louisville, KY (Jan. 16, 2007) – Merrily Orsini, managing director of corecubed, has been invited to participate in the 2nd annual strategic planning congress for the National Association for Home Care and Hospice (NAHC) in Scottsdale, Arizona Jan. 19 through 21.

“The invitation means Orsini will help set legislative and other policy priorities for the home care industry,” said Mitch Opalski, a spokesman for NAHC.
“All the people who are considered visionaries in home care and hospice are invited,” he said.

The National Association for Home Care and Hospice is the largest trade association for home health care agencies, hospices, home care aide organizations and medical equipment suppliers. It was created in 1982.

Orsini, who is trained as a social worker, pioneered the geriatric home care managed business model in Louisville in 1981 with a nationally recognized private duty home care business called Eldercare Solutions. The business had more than 200 employees when she sold it in 1996. Today Orsini runs a marketing and communications company that specializes in home health care and geriatrics issues.
