Doo Care Success Story
So what do elder care and dog waste management have in common? They both are services to a specific group; they both use scheduling to accomplish the tasks; they both require business acumen to be profitable. Beyond that, not much, except that Nat Truitt, who runs Always There in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, was looking for another avenue to put his entrepreneurial energy, and one that was not so emotionally intensive. Thus, while consulting on his elder care practice, with home care guru and Managing Director of corecubed, Nat asked about purchasing a franchise for managing dog waste. After looking at costs, it made more sense to start from scratch, and that is where corecubed came in.
Look at www.doocare.com to see the end result of a branded look, key messages, and also target audiences for the dog waste clean up business.
Now, Nat Truitt has his business needs met with a thriving home care business and a start-up that is gaining momentum weekly. A potential idea for the future is to take Doo Care and license that business across the country, as the barriers to entry are low, and all the marketing, design and PR material is developed so the operation is essentially turn key.
