Keeping Score Helps Reach Success

The holidays are upon us! Once again, amazingly soon, it is time to pull out the cranberry sauce, make room for grandma’s famous dumplings and pop that Thanksgiving bird into the oven.

It’s that time of the year in which we are often reminded to “count our blessings.”

It’s also a great time to determine whether or not a business should count blessings or take action to change. It’s a great time to take stock of where a business stands both financially and strategically, and to adjust marketing accordingly. During the holidays, the market slows down, lots of people take time off, some businesses close or reduce hours and many enjoy a well-deserved annual break. It’s quiet – and quiet times are the best times to pause and review. And the best time to start thinking strategically, or to revisit a plan if there is one in place.

Here’s what you’ll find in this month’s newsletter

We hope this issue is helpful to you.  Please email us with your feedback and ideas for future articles.  Thank you!

Having a plan and understanding the four “fields of influence”

We’ve all heard about the importance of mission statements a thousand times before, but it cannot be stressed enough. There’s no point in measuring whether or not you are meeting your goals until you first define what your goals are.

When you have a firm grasp of your company’s mission, you can then begin identifying and measuring the various factors that can affect your business’s pursuit of that mission in a positive or negative way.
